We investigate and expose the trade in illegal and destructively logged timber. We support the rights of forest peoples. We challenge governments and industry to end their role in ancient forest destruction. We promote real alternatives such as products certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which ensures that timber comes from environmentally and socially responsible forest management. Forests, which include boreal, temperate and tropical forests, coniferous and broadleaf forests, rainforests and mangroves - are diverse ecosystems which help to maintain life on earth.
